Mundane-ness

I read a wonderful blog post by Ashley Ann at Under the Sycamore the other day and it got me thinking.

I am at best the worst blogger. As in I don't blog often enough to talk about. My excuse has always been that there really isn't much going on in my life to blog about. I don't hold a regular 40 hour a week job, didn't (until 4 weeks ago) have any kids to talk about, had a rather uneventful pregnancy and maintained a few shoots a month. Then you throw in maternity leave and my life has reaaaaally slowed down. I live to feed my baby.

Then I thought...that's okay. I live to feed my baby whom I love in a whole new kind of love. I have a husband who is so involved in youth ministry that through him I have found a desire to see high schoolers and middle schoolers succeed in their Christian and daily lives. I'm a PK (preacher's kid) which means I always have an unique perspective (read AN OPINION). I kid, I kid. I'm a good PK--ask anyone. :) I also have a bit of a creative bug and can be crafty when I feel like it. I hate laundry and the requirement to make my bed. I'm not a risk taker by nature and have to go way outside of myself to take risks. I'm a vegetarian and haven't had meat in almost two years. There are so many things about me and my life that I never take the time to stop and reflect on.

Sure my life can be pretty mundane but there can be beauty in the mundane. And I bound and determined to find it.
